Doclea
Doclea (Duklja) – located just 5 km. north of Podgorica, these are Roman ruins that date to the first decades of the first century AD, when that settlement was known as Doclea. Because of the fact that many of the ruins at this site remain intact, it has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Many of the artifacts found here have been relocated to the City Museum of Podgorica. Other artifacts have reportedly ended up at Belgrade and St. Petersburg.
